The funeral of the late Irene Darragh, the little daughter of Mr. W. Darragh, of the Club Hotel, took place at the Kopuatama Cemetery this morning, and was attended by a large number of friends of the family. As the cortege proceeded along Broadway it made a most impressive sight, the hearse being revered with a profusion of flowers. Six little girl pall-bearers, all dressed in white, walked alongside the hearse, and a large number of school children, friends of, the deceased, followed the cortege. The sudden ending of the young life stirred the sympathies of the public to an extent seldom seen in Stratford, and a very large number of wreaths and messages of sympathy were received. The Rev. Father Maples officiated at the church and at the graveside. The following tendered wreaths: The Nursing Staff of the Public Hospital, Sacred Heart High School, Mrs. and Mr. Kirkwood, Mrs. George, Messrs. Price and Hassell, Vera and Aubery Eversfield, Mrs. and Mr. P. James, Mrs. and Mr. Theobald and Miss Sullivan, Mrs. and Mr. Cook, Mrs. Fitzgerald, Mrs. and Mr. G. The talented Lubowski family of musicians delighted another large audience at the King's Cinema Theatre last night, the whole of the items rendered receiving the unstinted applause of those present. The marvellous technique of Daniel Lubowski and his interpretation of the great classics were ia revelation to his hearers; also his great ability with the cornet in the concerted numbers at the end of the programme. The management of the King’s Cinema has arranged for this wonderful family to give a benefit concert in aid of the Roberts fund on Sunday evening, when the admission will be by silver coin.
