There are in rates outstanding in the Egmont County at the present time, and at yesterday’s meeting of the council it was decided to take steps to recover them. The residents of Stanley Road are tendering on Friday evening a social and dance to Mrs. E. A. Richmond, who is leaving for a trip to England. Messrs. Newton King, Ltd., have just received a cable from their principals, Messrs. R. W. Davidson, Ltd.:— “Cheese market steady: colored £8 2s; white, £7.”
