EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF “THE LOVE EXPERT.” All the world loves a lover, consequently the new aspects of the great study of love as expounded by “The Love Expert,” Constance Talmadge, in her new picture for First National, will have a universal appeal for everyone. Unmistakably is “The Love Expert” a different picture, for it has novelty of treatment even to its tinting, and the story, by those mas-ter-writers of screen comedy and burlesque, John Emerson and Anita Loos, is unique and diverting. There are so many scenes that provoke whole-souled laughter that the whole picture is received with a bubble of merriment throughout. It is one of those productions that inspire you with a desire to “try it on your friends.” The final screening is announced for to-night. The supporting programme includes the final episode of “The Vanishing Dagger,” and the first episode of “The Dragon’s Net.” THE PEOPLE’S. WM. FARNUM IN “HEART STRINGS.”
“Heart Strings” carries the censor's “A” certificate —recommended for adults only—nevertheless it is heralded as a masterpiece of film production and characterisation. A love story of unusual theme and great merit, “Heart Strings,” like its name, is said to play upon the emotions of humanity, to make one forget self in the alluring beauty of the scenes. It is a story of hope deferred; of poignant sorrow; of sublime love. Abounding in tense situations, the plot is unfolded in a series of stirring scenes —for the most part depicting life among the beauty-loving French Canadians. The star portrays the character of Pierre Fournel, a marvellous violinist and composer, who gives up his great ambition and search for fame for the sake of his weakling The strong east includes such well-known players as Gladys Onbiim. Betty Hilburn, Kate Blancke, -paßi '“'a’Sfcneuve, Robert Cain and Rowland Edwards, and the play is in seven reels.
