Kirkwood, at Philadelphia, challenged Hagen to a thirty-six hole match for a side bet, on the Pine Valley Club’s course to-day. American professionals agree that Kirkwood has the greatest collection of trick shots ever possessed by any golfer, but continued practice along those lines will prevent him ever taking high rank in championship events.
