Gladys Merril was shot dead by Allen Lloyd, to whom she was previously engaged, and Lloyd then shot himself dead. It appears that Merril broke her engagement, and Lloyd went to her house in the early morning and committed the shooting.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
