WEDDING.
HORTON—BROWN. I A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised .in the Presbyterian Church, Hawera, on March 28. The contracting parties were Mr. Alfred Horton, eldest son of Henry Horton, of Nelson, and Miss Isobel Brown, second daughter of the late Thomas Brown, also of Nelson. The bride was given away by Mr.Moore, and was daintily attired in a frock of ivory crepe de chine, with touches of pale pink, hand embroidered veil, fastened with a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a boquet of pink and white asters and asparagr.s fern. The bride was attended by Miss Constance Horton, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a frock of shell pink crepe de chino and black hat with pink streamers. Joan Moore, niece of the hrideijoom, .was flower girl, and wore a frock of hand-embroidered silk and carried a basket of flowers. Mr. Joe Horton acted as best man. The happy couple left by the south tr.ain for Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent. —Star.
