TARANAKI PROGRESS LEAGUE.
MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE. The executive o£ the. Taranaki Progress League met at Stratford morning. Present: Messrs. J. W. MoMillan (chairman), W. P. Kirkwood, ,L B Richards, W. R. Wright (Egmont County), R H. Piggott (Clifton County), T. A. Bridge (Kaupokonui Dairy Company); E. Walter (Stratford County) T. MePhillips (Waimate West County). Apologies for absence J®’ ceived from Messrs. A. Corkill (In le ■ wood County) and N. R. Cleland (Wha ngamomona County). The secretary was instructed to write again to the local bodies which were standing out of the league. • The Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, Stratford Chamber of Conmeree Strat. ford Railway Koburatahi ■ et tiers’ Association and Omata Dairy C . were admitted to membership. Mr MePhillips pointed out that, ac cording to the existing rules of the league, certain districts would be in adequately represented on the' and he gave notice of motion that the rules be amended to provide, that aR county and borough councils have one representative each on the executive, and that other bodies be represented ac cording to the existing rules.
