At White 'Sulphur Springs, Kirkwood is leading on the first day's play (36 holes) of the local open golf chr.<?ipionship, completing the first round ih 74 and the second round in 70, a total of 144. East, with 163, is eighteenth amongst the nineteen players, most of whom competed at Pinehurst.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. KIRKWOOD’S TOUR. Cable Assn. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The New Plymouth Club will be officially opened for the season on Saturday, April 16, when mixedl foursomes will be played. The lady members of the club will begin their matches on April 12 with a medal match, entries for which close at the clubhouse on Saturday, April 9, at 3 p.m., or with Miss Simpson, Vivian Street.
