CRICKET.
TEAM ORGANISING RIDICULED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. London, April 4. The Manchester Guardian says that a preliminary corporate practice test of cricketers may possibly be a help, though its value may easily be overestimated. This organising of victory in our cheerful games is too deadly serious and may become unlimited. It may include physical preparations, running, skipping and camera-posing, like professional footballers. Then, when we have trained a team till it works together with the smoothness of a ballet, some scratch eleven,, chosen on the basis of current form, may arise and beat it to a frazzle. All this for fear of Armstrong. He mn-t be mightily amused. Anyone might suppose we had never beaten the Australians here or there with our happy-go-lucky habits.—Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
