AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—l’ress Association Gisborne, Last Night. Sir James Carroll has received an invitation to attend a pan-Paeific Educational Conference, to be held at Honolulu from August 11 to 21. The conference will be representative of all the Pacific, peoples for the purpose of discussing and furthering interests common to the Pacific nations and to maintain bureaux of information and education, and the dissemination to the world of the progress of every kind in the Pacific lands, to spread abroad a friendly spirit, and inter-racial co-operation.
