SPORTING.

RACING IN AUSTRALIA. A.J.C. THIRD DAY. SPECIALITY WINS AGAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Received March 30, 7.20 p.m. Sydney, March 30. The AJ.C. third day’s racing was conducted in fine weather, and there were •thirty-three thousand present, racing throughout the day being of an interesting and entertaining character. Specialty’s victory in the All Aged Stakes was the feature of the day. Greenstead, Richmond Main, and Beauford monopolised attention, and Speciality was not fancied, the spectators not favoring his position in the race, but rounding the bend he unwound a fine turn of speed, breaking through the field in a manner reminiscent of Eurytbmic’s Cup. At the finish he won easily by half a length in Imin. 37| sec, a similar distance separating the second and third horses.

Eurythmic’s victory in the Cumberland Stakes was never doubted. It was practically a gentle gallop till the six furlongs, Salitros leading all the way. Eurythmic was last in on the run home, but at the finish had a length and a half to spare, with plenty in hand. David beat Fluency for second place. The hurdles provided another close finish. Two fell, Copina and Mountwood. Swift Shot easily disposed of Erasmus in the Coogee Handicap with a brilliant finishing spurt, while Duke Isinglass and Woodville further enhanced their reputations by a determined fight in the Easter Stakes. The City Handicap was a narrow victory for Braille, after a determined challenge by Amazonia. Finmark finished last. Results:—
