WEDDINGS.

MILNE— BARROW-CLOUGH. The Whiteley Memorial Church, New Plymouth, was crowded yesterday when the marriage took place of Mbs Olive E. Barrow-Clough, daughter of the Rev. J. A. Barrow-Clough, 8.A., 8.D., of Wimbleton, London, to the Rev. J, Napier Milne, of New Plymouth. The church had been prettily decorated for the occasion. The bride, who was given away by Mr. F. W. Packman, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, wore a beautiful dress of ivory charmeuse and shadow lace, with long veil and orange blossoms, held in place by a silver circlet. She earried a bouquet of white dahlias and roses, lily of the valley plant and smilax. She was attended as bridesmaid by Miss Margaret Milne, daughter of the bridegroom. She wore a pale blue crepe-de-chine dress, and carried a bouquet of pink asters and maiden-hair fern. The bridegroom was attended as best man by the Rev. A. A. Bensley, of Inglewood, who is shortly leaving to take .up missionary work in the Solomon Islands. The officiating ministers were the Revs. A. Liversedge (of Hawera), J. X F. Martin (Fitzroy) and J. Nixon (St. Aubyn’s). Later a number of guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Packman at the Hygienic tea-rooms, and the Rev. and Mrs. Milne left during the afternoon for the south on their honeymoon. Mr. Milne shortly takes up the pastorate of the St. Alban’s Church at Christchurch. JENNINGS—LANSLEY. A quiet wedding was solemnised at St. Josephs Church, New Plymouth, yesterday, when Miss Essie C. Lansley, youngest daughter of Mrs. A. Lansley, of- Powderham Street, New Plymouth, was married to Mr. Alfred G. Jennings, third son of Mr. AV. T. Jennings, M.P., of New Plymouth. The Rev. Dean McKenna officiated. »

Ths bride wore a smart putty colored costume embroidered in Lenna and saxe blue, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of autumn tints. She was attended by'her niece, Miss Jean Bannerman, of Dunedin, who was attired in a dress of white crepe-de-chine daintily embroidered in pink. The bridegroom, who was a member of the main body of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force and won the Military Cross when attached to the Imperial Forces, was attended by Mr. E. G. Falconer, who is also a Gallmoli veteran, as best man. The wedtnng breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s mother, where the toast of the newly married couple was proposed by Deaifi McKenna. Later Mr. and Mrs. Jennings left for Wanganui, en route to their future home at Wellington. HANNAH—ROBERTS. A very pretty wedding was celebrated nt the residence of Mr. Matthew Roberts, Nolantown, on March 22, by the Rev. H. B. Gray, the contracting parties being Mr. Edward Noel Taylor Hannah, of Greymouth, and Miss Jean Roberts, of Hawera. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a tailor-made costume and hat to match; she also carried a bouquet. The bride was attended by her cousin, Francie Ta-ylor, who wore a pink voile dress and black net hat with pink trimmings to match. Mr. R. Foy acted as best man. The guests were afterwards entertained at breakfast at the residence of the bride’s parents, where the usual toasts were honored. The bride received many useful presents, including cheques. The bride and bridegroom left by train amid showers of good wishes, en route for Greymouth, where the honeymoon is to be spent. APPLEBY—PR AGN ELL. A very pretty wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Opunake, the contracting parties being Miss Myrtle Cecilia Pragnell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Pragnell, of Wellington and formerly of Masterton, and Mr. Percy Appleby, of Bournemouth, England. ' The Rev. C. Strand was the officiating clergyman. The bride looked charming in accordeon pleated crepede chene with overdress of georgette. She wore the usual veil and orange blossoms. Miss E. Vincent attended as bridesmaid, and Miss Noeleen Holmes (niece of the bride) was second bridesmaid. Mr. Percy Pragnell was the best man. After the ceremony about thirty guests sat down to breakfast at the residence of the bride’s sister (Mrs. F. H. Holmes) when the health of the newly married couple was enthusiastically honored. After the breakfast Mr. and Mrs. Appleby left for Wanganui where the honeymoon is to be spent.
