' VAST PREPARATIONS MADE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, March 29. The German South Sea companies are preparing to resume activity on a great gcale. They are increasing their capital and asking America for assistance. The Jaluit Gesellschaft is fusing with the Trade and Plantations Company under the title of the Trade and Colonisation Company. It is supported by several large banks and important merchants. Extensive quays, warehouses and equipment, exceeding that of the Ham-burg-America Line in magnitude are being rapidly cpnstf acted in Hamburg for the exclusive use of American ships, with railway connections allowing American goods to be sent direct into Central Germany, Czecho-Slovakia, and Balkans. —Aus.-N.Z.
