Proposals by which • the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Frozen Meat Company purpose amalgamating with several other similar companies and increasing the capital of the company from £250,000 to £1,000,000, thereby making the company one of the largest, if not the largest mercantile and freezing works company in the Dominion, have been approved by the companies’ shareholders. The companies! which it is proposed should be taken over are the Tokomaru SheepfarmeTs’ Freezing Co., Tokomaru Farmers’ Co-op, Co., Ltd., Te Anaroa Sheepfarmers’ Trading Co., Ltd., Gisborne Farmers’ Co-op. Co., Ltd., and Hicks’ Bay Farmers’ Meat Co., Ltd. The Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Company is practically owned by farmers, and has already proved a most successful busiaaas concern.
