“SUPPLE WELSH GENIUS”
MR. LLOYD GEORGE AND LABOR. CONTRASTS IN HIS POLICY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 27, 11.5 p.m. Paris, March 26. The Matin’s London correspondent emphasises the inconsistencies in Mr. Lloyd George’s temperament, contrasting his attacks on the Labor Party in Britain and his trade agreement with Russia, by which he helps to consolidate the Soviet Government, which subsidises the British Labor movement. •The correspondent interviewed two of Mr. Lloyd George’s secretaries, who contended that the inconsistencies really demonstrated Mr. Lloyd George’s adaptability and his “'supple Welsh genius.’’ One secretary added: “Mr Lloyd George never reads a book, but he' is not the .only Entente leader who knows everything without having learned anything.” —Aus.-N.Z.
