PROPOSED PACIFIC CRUISE. PLANS NOT YET AGREED TO. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 27, 11.5 p.m. Washington, March 26. The Australian Press Association representative interviewed Mr. Franklin Roosevelt, who during Mr. Denby’s absence in Eastern States, is acting as Secretary of the Navy, said the Com-mander-in-Chief of the Pacific station some months ago was directed to prepare a tentative itinerary for a cruise by a certain portion of the Pacific Fleet to the South Sea Islands, New Zealand, and Australia. The new Administration have not yet considered this matter, and may not do so until pending naval Bills are passed, as the question of economy of fuel must receive thorough consideration. Cable Assn. [A recent message stated that a tour of the Pacific would be made, and that Auckland would be included.]
