GREEKS ROUT TURKS.
FIGHTING IN ASIA K MINOR. , By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Constantinople, March 24. According tio Brusa reports the Greeks have launched an offensive on the Brusa sector. Athens, March 24. It is reported from Smyrna that the Greek commander, in a proclamation to the troops, summons them to attack and crush the enemy. Newspapers declare that the offensive has begun. Greeks from Brusa drove the Turks 17 miles in disorderly retreat. The Greeks crossed the River Gallios and occupied the line Hassan Pasha —Funtukhi—Yenicheir. The attack was continued.
Papouto commands the troops -to give a coup de grace to the base elements of barbarism and implant Greek civilisation. It wiill be the last sacrifice asked Of the army. Received March 26, 2.50 p.m. Smyrna, March 25. A correspond&nt says that King Constantine is shortly arriving to assume command of the Greeks, whose offensive lidar Brusa forced the Turks to retreat to the coast. The Turks are also reported to be retreating in disorder from the neighborhoiod' of Hasslan Pasha, which the Greeks have occupied.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. GREEK ADVANCE CONTINUES. Received March 28, 12.45 a.m. Athens. March 27. Smyrna messages report the continued advance of the Greeks along the whole front. The retreating Turks are abandoning rich booty. Paris, March 27Constantinople reports that thirty thousand KemalTsts have heen withdrawn from Eccilieia. where they are opposed to the French, now rushing to stem the tide of the Greek advance. — Aus.-N.Z.
