PUBLIC NOTICES. SHOOTING SEASON FOR IMPORTED GAME AND NATIVE GAME. LICENSE FEE, ETC., TARANAKI ACCLIMATISATION DISTRICT. JELLICOE, Governor-General. TN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, John Rush worth, Viscount Jellicoe; Govern or-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that following », imported game—viz., cock pheasants and Californian quail—may be killed within the Taranaki Acclimatisation District, comprising the Counties of Taranaki, Clifton and the County of Egmont, excepting the Oeo Riding (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to the thirty-finSt day of July, one ’thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, both days inclusive. And I do further notify that licenses to kill sucl/ imported game within the said district shall be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the Chief Postmaster at New Plymouth and the Postmasters at Inglewood, Waitara, Okato, Pungarehu, Rahotu, Tariki, Urenui, Uruti, and Opunake are hereby appointed to^ sign and issue the said licenses to kill imported game. And I do further notify that the following native game’ —viz., teal, grey duck, and black swan—may be killed within the above-mentioned district (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto) from the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, to the thirty-first day of i July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, both days inclusive; and do hereby restrict the number of such native game that may be killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twenty-five head in all. The reserve known as Mount Egmont Forest Reserve, being the area included within the circumference of d circle having a radius of six miles from the sumnj.it of the said Mount Egmont. 2. All t'hjit area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards tKte north generally by Seotion 10, Tatanaimaka District, the Timani Stream, Sections 87, 38, 39, ahd 40, Oakura District; towards the east generally by Sections 13 and 15, Ahuahu Township, Egmiont National Park, Sections 95, 98, 99 and 100. Oakura District., again by the Egmont National Park and Sections 128 and 127, Oakura District; towards the south generally by the Pit one Road, Seotion 121, again by the Pitone Road, Sections 104. 115, 120, and 118, Oakura District; and towards the west genera!ly by the Katikara Stream, Section 17, and pant Section 12, Tatanaimaka District, the Pitone Road, and a road fronting and intersecting Section 13 and fronting Section 1, part .Section 19, and part Section 21 to the north-western corner of Section 18. Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, being Section 136, s 140, 146. 147, 150, 151, and 152, Oakura District, in Block VII, Cape Survey District. Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, being Section 16, Block VII, Cape Survey District. 3. All lands, notified as sanctuaries or reserves for the preservation of imported or native game.
