OPUNAKE TUG-OF-WAR. Keen Interest Is being manifested in the great tug-of-war competition which is to be held at Opunake pn ‘Wednesday, April 13, and the two following' days in aid of the fQnds for the candidature of the Town Queen Committee's nominee, Mrs. Lyttle. Prize money. totalling £35 has been allocated to the event, which is for teams of five men ailide The nomination has been fixed at £2, and captains of teams can obtain the rules afid conditions on application to the secretary, Jas. Fteyne, Opunake.
