KILLED BY A TRAIN.
SMALL BOY’S TRAGIC DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association v Christchurch, Last Night. Claude Gruppelaar, aged five, son of a railway surfaceman, was killed by the south express at Templeton. He was walking gn the line with his little sister to meet his father, when he was struck by the cow-catcher, being picked up dead. Neither heard the approaching express. At the inquest the verdict was that death was accidental, no blame being attachable to anyone.
