Sentences of nine of the sixteen Siun Feiners tried at Edinburgh on a charge of conspiracy to endanger life and property, range from one to five years, im eluding Jean Quinn, who was sentenced to twelve months. Five others were acquitted, and two were not proven.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. [A cable received Ust week stated: A sensational trial is at Edinburgh of sixteen Sinn Feiners, including Jean Quinn, a young girl, on a charge of conspiracy to endanger life and property by means of explosives. The evidence showed that explosives of high power intended to destroy bridges and railways were stored in Jean Quinn’s room.]
