CENTRAL SCHOOL.
GROUNDS IMPROVEMENT CARNIVAL. Matters in connection with the “at home” to be held at the school next month are progressing rapidly. The ladies’ committee met yesterday afternoon, the Mayoress presiding, and the reports from the various stall holders and subcommittees showed that assistance and promises of upport had been most encouraging. The ladies’ committee will, meet again on Friday, April 15, to arrange final details. In the evening over 80 old pupils met by invitation from Mr. Mcllroy afid Miss Pearce. Ready willingness to help, both by making articles and in decorating the grounds and stalls,’ was shown, and the committee is particularly pleased with the promised support otf these old pupils. They will meet again on Friday, April 15. Next week a list of the stalls, competitions and side-shows will be announced, when it will be seen that a comprehensive and interesting pro* gramma will bs sresented.
