AUSTRALIA v. OTAGO.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Ti e Australian cricketers were accorded an enthusiastic reception here. The match against Otago commenced in dull but fine weather, and before an attendance that grew to about 1500. Ransford won the toss and sent Otago in, the home team scoring 127, C. Alloo and L. Casey making 25 each, and J. Shepherd and J. McMullan 24 each. Hornlbrook took two wickets for 26 runs, Bogle two for 27, and Liddicuti three for 21. Australia, in their first innings, have lost three wickets for 82 runs (Lampard not out 41, Bogle not out 16). The match will be resumed to-morrow. ENGLISH TEAM FARE WELLED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright Adelaide, March 18. The Cricket Association executive farewelled the Englishmen. Mr. G. M. Evans, president, stated that he had seen -the visitors in the field, dressingroom and hotel, and there could not have been a more united band of players.
