COTTON GOODS.
REDUCTIONS IN ENGLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. - London, March 16. Leading Lancashire cotton manufacturers are drastically cutting the prices of piece goods, in some cases by 56 to 75 per cent, for ready cash in order to clear stocks. London drapery fitrms express the opinion that the reductions are only temporary and that if the present level of wages is maintained, prices will harden when the export trade revives.— Aus.-N.Z.
