CORRESPONDENCE.

TARANAKI SEAT. (To the Editor.) Sir,—W. G. Wilson, In your issue of the’loth inst. complains re the performance of the member who represents this district. As in the past, Mr. S. G. Smith will, without doubt, pay strict attention to tis well thought-out vote when dealing with affairs of the Dominion and Empire generally (sectarian or otherwise), and pronounce his decision according to his sound judgment in the interest and wish of his constituents. I feel convinced that he will long continue as a Progressive Democrat representing and upholding the wishes of his supporters. Will Mr. Wilson state through your paper where he considers Mr- Smith has failed in his duty in pressing claims for universal benefit.—l am, etc. ANGLO-PROTESTANT.
