THE REVOLT SPREADING. FAMUHNE IN PETROGRAD. NEW OUTBREAKS AGAINST SOVIET, By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 16, 5.5 p.m. ’ London, March 15. The latest Russian messages state that the revolt is spreading and peasants are flocking to the rebel standard in large numbers over a wide area. A Riga correspondent reports risings in many parts of Siberia. The railways have been cut and food supplies to Russia have been -cut off. A Helsingfors correspondent states that thousands of rebellious workers and soldiers have joined Antonov’s revolutionary army, which is operating in the provinces of Kursk, Voronetz, Tamboo, and Kiasan. Some cavalry divisions penetrated the neighbourhood of Moscow. The revolt in the Ukraine is most extensive. Petrograd is famine stricken. The Jast food rations were distributed on the 12th inst. Krasnoyagorka is isolated. A message from Harbin states that reports are current that the anti-Bol-shevik rising in Omsk has spread to Krasnoyarsk, East Siberia. Simultaneously official advices received in Paris State that Constantinople reports an insurrectionary movement in the Caucasus, which is gaining ground. The Don Cossacks revolted en masse. Generai Ilrudenny informed the Soviet he was unable to lend assistance against the rebels because the majority of his regi. ments were themselves composed of Coslacks. —Times and Reuter Services. GRAVE FOOD SHORTAGE. LARGE AREA IN REVOLT. Received March 16 ,5.5 p.m. London, March 15. The Daily Telegraph’s Berlin correspondent states that trustworthy news shows that Kronstadt has not suffered from thp bombardment. Food supplies only .suffice for a fortnight. All the country between Mishni, Novgorod and Eunhiisk is in revolt.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. KRONSTADT ATTACK FAILS. ADVANCE OVER THE ICE. Received March 16, 5.5 p.m. London, March 15. A Helsingfors telegram says Chinese Attempted to storm Kronstadt over the |ce on Monday, but were defeated with heavy loss, suffering seyeral thousand pasualties, owing to gunfire from the Forts. A member of the American Red pross drove over the ice to Kronstadt With food. The soldiers refused to touch it, and sent the food for distribution to hospital patients.
