MIDHIRST DAIRY COMPANY.
EXTRAORDINARY' MEETING. An extraordinary meeting of stareholders of the Midhirst Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Ltd., was held on Monday, when the following resolution was submitted by the directors:—"That tlie directors be empowered to take all steps and do all things necessary for the purpose of erecting, equipping, and completing such buildings and machinery as may be required in connection with the drying of casein manufactured by the company.” Mr. Pitt opposed the motion, and moved as an amendment: "That in view of the disturbed state of the world’s markets, tie large amount Involved was too unuch for a single company to undertake, and that the | question stand over till the annual general i meeting.” | After full discussion the amendment was . carried and the motion lost. | Mr. Pitt thanked the directors foj placing i the matter shareholders
