THE WOOL MARKET.
LOWER PRICES AT DUNEDIN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Th a -fi-si wool sale held in the Dominion since the waterside trouble commenced here to-day. The sale was to have been held on the 21st ult., but it was postponed on account of the waterside trouble. In the meantime wool slumped enormously. To-day bidding was erratic, but some lots were disposed of, realising above the London parity, while many others of equal quality were neglected. Altogether the proportion of sales was approximately 10 per cent, of the offering, and the prices, compared with those realised at the January sales, show a decline of 30 to 45 per cent. Lower grades of wool show an even greater decline. Inferior bellies sold at Id to l%d, compared with 3d m January, and locks Jd to l%d, compared with lid to 4d in January. SALES AT SYDNEY.
