ASIATIC IMPORTATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Board of Trade is holding an inquiry into the question of the egg trade generally, at Christchurch on March 22. Representations were recently made to the Government for prohibition upon the importation of Asiatic eggs, and the only opposition to such prohibition comes from bakers, pastrycooks, and confectioners. The Board haa invited representatives of producers, importers, and users of eggs to be present. Advantage will be taken of the presence in Christchurch of the Tariff Commission, and the Departments of Health and Agriculture will also be represented. 1
