EGMONT SHEEP DOG TRIALS
AT HAWERA NEXT WEEK. The twentieth annual meeting of the Egmont Sheep Dog Trial Club is to be held at Mr. W. V. Parker’s property, Opeke, Hawera on Wednesday and Thursday next, when a n ost attractive programme has been arranged. The programme includes: (1) Heading and bringing into ring; (2) heading, bringing back, driving through one set of hurdles to yard, and'yarding; (3) huntaway. Splendid prizes are allocated to eact event, and with a view to encouragihg the younger shepherds special prizes are awarded in the first two classes fcr both novices and youths under 20. These svceialn include three well-bred pups and valuable trophies. Entries are coining in freely but for the convenience of those' competing at the Waverley trials the list will not finally close until Monday evening, with the gicretarv (Mr. J. F. Tiddv. Box 2. Hawera).
