RACING IN AUSTRALIA. FOURTH DAY OF V.R.C. EURYTHMIC’S GREAT RECORD. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 13, 5.5 p.m. Melbourne, March 13. There was fine and warm weather and a fair attendance for the fourth day of the V.R.C. autumn meeting yesterday. The going was good. Sunburst was always prominent and won the Hopeful Stakes comfortably in record race Candwindra made a big break early in the Gibson Carmichael Stakes, but died away in the straight, and Wyndham won decisively. This is Wyndham’s second win at the meeting. The owner is Sir Samuel Hordern, of Sydney. Eurythmic won the King’s Plate easily, and received a great reception. This Ls Eurythmic’s fifteenth win out of sixteen starts. Eurythmic goes to Sydney on Tuesday. Eurytfcraic has now won £16,699 in stakes. Eurythmic ran the last mile in Imin. 40sec. Sonny Foy and Well Off were the pacemakers in the Northcote Handicap, but they were beaten at the distance by Toison D’Or, who went to the front and won well. The winner Is trained by Heywood, and in the Sydney Cup has 7.4. Grand Fleet jumped badly in the Autumn Steeples, but was able to win easily. Blue Cross gave Mr. J. Holt his fifth training success at the meeting. Blue Cross goes to Sydney on Tuesday. Results : HOPEFUL STAKES —Sunburst 7.8 1, Sylosen 7.10 2, Black 3. The Australian Labor Party executive passed a motion viewing with grave concern the suggestion that the Cabinet should constitute a Racing Advisory Board consisting of Mr. Boyn-ton-Smith and others financially interested h) racing.
