EVERYBODY’S. NORMA TALMADGE AND LARRY SEMDN TO NIGHT. Two of the most .popular artists in the respective characters appear at Everybody’s to-night. Norma Talmadge stars in a First National feature, “The Woman Gives,” and Larry Semon in,his third great super-comedy,| “Schooldays.” Norma Talmadge in “The Woman Gives” has a vehicle that any star might be proud of, one that gives her opportunity of displaying her striking and magnetic personality, and her undoubted ability in emotional roles of a high order. Not only does the star give a wonderful performance as the artist’s model, but the supporting cast is of all round excellence, and the production on a scale that leaves nothing to be desired. The First National spared no expense in making this presentation of Owen Johnson’s story a memorable one. In addition is screened one of the inimitable Larry Semdn’s comedies. This time it is “Schooldays,” and no worse boy in school ever dreamed of the succession of pranks and absurdities that this wonderful little comedian has introduced into this subject. He is irresistible in his fun. THE PEOPLE’S. LAST NIGHT OF EUGENE O'BRIEN. To-night’s screening of Eugene G’Brien in “A Fool and His Money” concludes its local Season. The novel from which “A Eodl and His Money” was taken is by that prince of romantic writers, George Barr McCutcheon, and even as the novel was popular so will the picture be, for it is even more picturesque and just as romantic as the popular story. Eugene O’Brien does some of the best work of his career, and he is surrounded by a story, a cast and beautiful scenery, such as must make this one of the most pleasing pictures of the screen. The bill includes Gazette, comedy, Interest and “Tih Minh.” SPECIAL TO-MORROW. Dear Madam (or Sir), —Tom Mix, daredevil of the screen and the man who never fakes, is coming to town again, and his favorite house is loaded with gifts for you. He will be at the People’s Theatre on Tuesday for a stay of two days. He brings a bag of tricks that will send thrills up and down your backbone, and a stock of tender love scenes that will warm you all over, no matter how cold the weather. He brings a healthy chunk of' the great west you love—crowded with deeds of daring, and palpitating with the virile energy of the sun-baked plains. Like a hero of old, as gallaht as he is brave, Tom Mix gallops and prances and fights through a rip-roaring romance. His stunts are not only better than in the past—that’s no more than a natural consequence of experience—but they are uniquely different. Come ready for a heyday of excitement. You know by this time that Tom Mix never disappoints. Those who mi,ss him, however, are- invariably disappointed. THE EMPIRE. “THE LONDON GAIETY CO.” OPENING TO-NIGHT. Appearing with The London Gaiety Players, which open a season of three nights at The Empire Theatre to-night, is Miss Daisy McLellan. This renowned Scottish dancer, who is the proud possessor of over 100 medals, will be seen in several exhibitions in conjunction with the famous Gaiety Ballet dancers, cabaret scenes and a whirlwind dance on a cabaret table are said to be the features of this production. Miss Dora Cooper, a fascinating soubrette, will render several items of her own charming manner, assisted by the renowned Gaiety Chorus of seven ladies. Mr. (Harold Alright, billed as the world’s magician, will be seen in an act which is described as a “hurricane of hilarity,” during which he will expose several, of the secrets of magic. His unassisting assistant Alice is credited with being a comedienne of exceptional ability. Songs at the piano, ballads and monologues also form parts- of the programme. The music will be conducted by Mr. Robert Kirk, and the whole production is under the management of Wm. Lints. The plan is at Collier’s.
