Constables Mclntosh, Crooks, and Cooper were standing outside a Belfast music hall to-night talking to three girls, when five men fired revolvers at them. There was fierce fighting for a considerable time, until the ambushera bolted, leaving seven dead in a trench, all wearing the I.R.A. uniform, and a number of rifles.
