PREMIER’S ACTION COMMENDED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, March 12. The committee of the Timaru Agricultural and Pastoral Association unanimously passed the motion of Messrs; B. Trip and E. R. Guinness heartily commending the Prime Minister on the firm, stand he had taken with the Imperial authorities regarding freight rates, when an increase had been made after the promise of a reduction had been given. The opinion was offered that all farmers’ representatives should express appreciation of the Prime Minister’s efforts on their behalf.
