RACING IN AUSTRALIA. THE V.R.C. MEETING, THIRD DAY'S RESULTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 10, 8 p.m. Melbourne, March 10. The weather was fine and bright, the going was good, and there was a satisfactory attendance for the third day of the V.R.C. autumn meeting. Tullilah led from the turn in the Autumn Hurdles and won well in record time for Flemington. Tullilah was ridden by Tom Burn, son of the trainer. Elfacre led always in the Lloyd Stakes and scored brilliantly. Eifacre, who is a Doncaster candidate, came from Newcastle. Nautical was the pacemaker in the Governor's Plate, but Eurythmlc was in x front at the distance and won brilliantly. A great reception was accorded the winner of the race, and the time was a record. Eurythmlc goes to Sydney next week. There, was a spirited struggle in the Autumn Handicap. The pacemaker. Well Off, battled gamely and dead-heated. A. Woods had the mount on Wildun. In the run off Well Off> made the pace and just won. The March Nursery Handicap winner, Vincliilla, is owned by Lady Hall, South Australia. T. Burn completed a double, riding Star Comedian. There was a good attendance. The totalj’sator handled £20,662, compared with £19,746 for the concluding day of last season. The total for the meeting was £41,612, compared with £39,104 last year. Results : MYROSS WELTER.—RoyaI Admiral (T. Pemberton) 1, Glentruin Mettledrift 3. Also started: Sartolite, Orange Bitters, Sunlit, Iraza, Kokowai, Soldier’s Pride. When six furlongs were covered Hard Hit lost its rider (O’Connor), and when leading Barrister fell two fences further on, leaving Silverspire to go on and win easily by eight lengths, with sixty yards between second and third. Time, smin. 27sec. Achilleus refused to jump and was pulled up. AWARUA HANDICAP.—RadiaI (J. Campbell) 1, Jock 2, Rorke’s Drift 3. Also started: Kilkee, Mazama, Tin Soldier, Twinkle, Marianne. Tin Soldier made the running from Twinkle, Radial and Mazama.. After passing 'the post Tin Soldier (G. Young), .Twinkle (Voight), and Marianne (L. McDon . aid) fell, the tfrst-named apparently bringing the down. Radial ran to ti e front, and led into the straight to win by over a length from Jock, with three-quarters of a length between second and third. Time, 2min. 2 l-ssec. As a result #of the accident, F. Voight had his collarbone dislocated, but the others escaped uninjured. BLUFF HANDlCAP.—Mettledrift (Ivan Rask) 1, Osterman 2, Etta 3. Also started: Night Alarun, Linton, Samum, Flag Lieutenant.
