Y.M.C.A. CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, March 5. The Y.M.C.A. Conference passed a resolution recommending that a national boy’s work director he appointed as soon as possible, existing associations to be used as training grounds for boys’ work directors, and that endeavors be made to secure a minimum of three trainees immediately. The conference, has concluded. ENGINE DRIVER DISMISSED. Wellington, March 5. The driver of the north-bound express which on February 17, dashed past a south-bound train at Hunterville, has been dismissed from the service, stated Mr. Massey to-day. He added that the driver was asleep at the time. Mr. Massey had no information at hand regarding the position of the fireman. TRADERS’ CRIMINAL CARELESSNESS. Auckland, March 5.
