MISS SHAND’S SUCCESS. ANOTHER RECORD MADE. By Telegraph.—Pfeis Association. Wellington, Last Night. In the ladies’ swimming championship, 220 yards, on Saturday, Miss G. Shand (Christchurcl:), who had broken the 440 yards world's Dunedin, made an attempt to set up fresh figures for the 220 yards. The weather conditions were favorable. Miss Shand, who was the only competitor, completed the course in 3min. 7 4-ss»c, which will go down as a New Zealand record. The Australasian and a world's record for the distance is held by Miss Fanny Durack, with 2min. 56sec. The 100 yards Wellington provincial championship was won by D. J.
