FRANKLEY ROAD. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Frankley Road Settlers’ Association, held their monthly meeting on Monday evening, when there was a large attendance. A letter Was revived from the horoiugh council, re the Frankley Road footpaths, which, we expect, will shortly be in a reasonably fit condition, A lengthy discussion took place re tire dangerous state of the Govett Avenue. It is in the interests of the public generally, that we wish to see this road made more safe for the large amount of traffic that passes over it. The subject of a fire alarm for Frankley Park was also discussed, and the secretary instructed to write the Fire Board for information re ways and means for procuring one. • J It was decided to hold the next meeting on Tuesday March 29, as the Monday previous is a holiday.
