MARANATHA. Our prophetic conference gatherings in Wellington concluded with a great meeting in the large Town Hall on Sunday evening last. One purpose of our annual conference is to arouse public attention to the importance of the subject of our Lord’s Second Coming. We believe that the signs are all pointing to the imminence of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. One of the most impressive addresses given at the conference was by the Rev. Joseph W. Kemp of the Tabernacle, Auckland, on “The Signs of the Times”, which, we regret, was not reported, as no shorthand writer was present. The addresses, however, of the Very Rev. Dr. Weeks, Dean of Nelson, the Rev. Wilfred Williams, 8.A., of Wanganui, and of the Rev. W. Lamb, of Sydney, have been reported, and some of them will appear in th? “Advent Herald”, a monthly paper published in Sydney by the Rev. W. Lamb. Any who would like this paper sent them, if they will forward a year’s Subscription of 4/- with their names and addresses to Box 258. G.P.0., Wellington, will receive same. There can be no question but that many are turning their attention to prophetic study. People came specially from Wanganui, Feilding. Auckland and the South Island to attend our meetings. When we look at the condition of affairs in Ireland. India, Egypt, and the unrest the world over, what can it mean other than the time of trouble which the Lord said would immediately precede His Second Advent?
