NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. Playing in the semi-finals of the New Plymouth Club’s championships yesterday, Nicholson beat E. Griffiths 6—l, 6—l. Another semi-final between Archer and C. Webster was interrupted by rain, and will be played to-day, the winner meeting Nicholson in the final to-morrow afternoon. Miss Rundle and Miss D. Simpson will also meet to-morrow to decide the ladies’ singles. club match. The Hawera Tennis Club will send a team to meet New Plymouth on Saturday, 12th inst.
