LARGE SAVING EXPECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 3, 7.30 p.m. London, March 2. Messrs. Neagles’ coal contract has been transferred to the High Commissioner, who is arranging, on behalf of the Government, with leading shipping firms to undertake transport c.i.f. It it anticipated that the 4 contract for 150,000 tons of best Welsh Admiralty screened coal will be signed to-morrow. Sir James Allen expects to effect a saving of many thousands on the ne* con-tract.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
