INTER-EMPIRE TRADE.

REMOVING RESTRICTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received March 1, 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. 28. Sir Robert Horne (President of the Board of Trade) presided at the Customs- conference. All the Dominions, India, and the Colonies were represented, including Mr. Barkley (Australia) and Mr. Herd (New Zealand). Sir Robert Horne I said the war brought Britain and the Dominions closer, and it was desirable to still further remove the restrictions on interImperial trade. He hoped the conference would produce a certificate of origin and values and facilitate the exchange of goods on a uniform basis. It is expected the conference will last a fortnight.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
