ENTERTAINMENTS
EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF “TWELVE TEN.” “Tw’elve Ten” is a production that may well be described as a real thrillet. The ethereal beauty of Marie Doro was never so appealing as in this picture, filmed in Paris and London. Skill and intelligence go to the making of this feature, which for intensity and mystery will be hard to equal. Tne story works up to a tremendous climax in which the wonderful portrayal of the diminutive star shines out like a glittering gem. As a dramatic spectacle as well as a work of screen art “Twelve Ten” is a remarkable production. The final screening takes place to-night. “The Virgin of Stamboul” is announced for to-morrow and Thursday. The picture starts off’ at a cyclonic gait and there is never an instant When it gets under the top notch speed. The folk who delight in ardent love-making, sinister villians and hand-to-hand combats will surely pronounce it the real thing in thrills and spectacular punch. Box plans are now open at Collier’s. THE PEOPLES. WILLIAM FARNUM IN “WINGS OF THE MORNING.” The Peoples Theatre will show for the first time, commencing to-night, William Farnum, the eminent William Fox* star, in his latest photodrama, “Wings of the Morning,” a picturisation of the wellknown novel written by Louis Tracy. This is a stirring sea story with all the elements necessary for a superior screen entertainment. The romance opens in faraway Singapore, at a British army post. Mr. Farnum, as the hero, is cashiered out of the service on a -false charge, and later is found as a sailor on board a passenger steamer crossing the China Sea. The boat is wrecked on an uncharted island during a typhoon, and he rescues the daughter of the owner of the line. Their vicissitudes and adventures on the island and the final denouncement are said to be developed along extremely dramatic lines. The bill includes gazettes and the big “Sunshine” Comedy “Chase Me.”
