CRUISE TO ’FRISCO.
PLANS THAT WERE STOPPED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last .Night. At the Police Court Sidney John Badams admitted five charges of obtaining goods or money by false pretences, and three charges of breaking, entering and theft. He was committed for senJohn Ernest Brasting and William Mackey admitted six charges of obtaining goods bv valueless cheques. They •were committed for sentence on the two major charges, and remanded on the others. The case was the outcome of an endeavor by the young men on lebruary 14 to provision a yacht, which Brasting wrongly represented he had purchased for a cruise to the Kermadecs or San Francisco. The goods included benzine, oil, groceries, oiiskins and whisky, of a total value of £9l Ils. Brasting admitted stealing a cheque
