JERSEY BREEDERS’ CLUB.

FIELD DAY ON MARCH >l9. At a general meeting of members of the New Plymouth Jersey Breeders’ Club held on Saturday, Mr. H. B. Lepper presiding, it was decided that a field day be held on Mr. Lepper’s property at Lepperton, on March 19. The official demonstrator (Mr. H. E. B. Watson) will be present, and a committee consisting of the chairman and Messrs. F. W. Cornwall and H. Stonex was set up to arrange for the stock for demonstration purposes. It was decided to invite the presidents of neighboring branches of the Jersey Breeders’ Association, the president of the A. and P. .Society, students of .the High School and Technical College, and any of the public interested ih Jersey cattle, A special effort is to be made to ensure the presence of as many students from the High School and Technical College as possible, and Messrs. C. H. Weston, S. W. Shaw and E. Griffiths were appointed a committee to arrange for conveyances. The idea of arranging for the examination of any breeders aspiring to become Jersey judges during Mr. Watson’s visit was. discussed, and a committee appointed to confer with Mr. Watson? and ascertain if he, as official demonstrator, would be prepared to undertake such examination.
