A STATE OF WAR.

COSTA RICA AND PANAM \ BRITISH INTERESTS INVOLVED. B/ Tilegraph—Press Assn —Copyright Received. Feb. 27, 5.5 p.m. Washington, Feb. 27. It is reported that a state of war exists between Oosta Rica and Panama over the boundary dispute. The situation is further aggravated by Costa Rica’s action in cancelling the British oil concession. Britain has sent a Note and a cruiser to back up the demands. It is not expected that Britain will take forcible action without notifying the United States, but such notification has not yet been given. It is understood the United States sides with Costa Rica, claiming that the concession was granted by the discredited Tinoco Government.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
