UNREST IN INDIA.
DISLOYALISTS CAUSE TROUBLE. CROWD AND POLICE CLASH. By Telegraph.— Press Assn—Copyright. Received Feb. 25, 11.5 p.m. Delhi, Feb. 24. The trouble at Nagpur was the out--come of non-eo-operators’ activities. Crowds stoned the police when trying to dispel them with drawn swords, and many were injured in the melee. The mob raided and demolished a number of liquor stores. Troops are guarding the civil population, and reinforcements are arriving. A meeting of European and Indian railwaymen at Allahabad declared in favor of a strike on Monday unless their demand was granted. A committee of enquiry was appointed. The situation at Tonk is still unsettled, and more arrests have been made. An official enquiry is proceeding as to the cause of the trouble.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn.
