REDUCTION OF WAGES.
CARPENTERS LEAVE THEIR JOBS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In view of the employers’ determination to reduce the wages of carpenters from 3s to 2s 9d per hour, which reduction comes into force as from to-day, many men declined to accept work today, and left their jobs.
