FINAL RESULTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Feb. 19. The B Grade Band Contest concluded yesterday. The second test selection was played last night, and resulted: — Palmerston North. 135 points. 1;’ .Dannevirke, 133 points, 2; Marton. 129 points, 3; Hamilton 12'2 points. 4; Temperance Guards (Auckland). 117 points, 5; Auckland East Coast Defence, 116 points, 6; Hastings, 109 points, 7. The Boosey Shield, for most points for music in the two test selections and the quick-step competition, was won by the Dannevirke Band with 347. Other scores were:—Palmerston North 346, Marton 336, Hamilton 331, Temperance Guards 321, Auckland Coast Defence 310, Hastings 307. Additional results are:—• Solo Bass Trombone.—W. (Hastings), 86 points, 1; B. Wansborough (Marton), 82 points, 2. Euphonium Solo.—P. Cowlishaw (Palmerston North), 91 points, 1; D. Preece (Hastings), 90 points, 2.
