DRAPERS AND CLOTHIERS.
DOMINIOX CONFERENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association Dunedin, Lafit Night, The New Zealand Federation of .Drapers and Clothiers held their first annual conference to-day, Mr. J. Rennell (Auckland) presiding. Officers elected were: President. Mr. Rennell; vice-president, Mr. E. H Wylesh Christchurch); member of advisory board, Mr. W. Simm (Wellington); auditor, Mr. M. E. Nichols (Wellington). It was resolved that the conference affirms the desirability of closer cooperation between the employer and employees, and the inauguration among members of a systematic course of instruction to encourage greater efficiency among junior members of the staff. It was decided that the proposal that the Govement be asked to institute a postage cash on delivery system be referred back to the local associations for consideration.
